Is there anything better than a relaxing Saturday with no real obligations and a free lunch and plant? I’ve been earning “blimps” with the new Akronite app that offers great rewards when you shop locally. One of the current promotions is earning 30% back when you dine at selected restaurants, bars and coffee houses. I’ve earned enough “blimps” (each is worth $1) that I treated Greg and myself to lunch at Nomz at the Northside Marketplace. When we finished, I browsed the plants at Lepley & Co., and left with that stunning succulent pictured above.

Well, that felt like the shortest weekend on record. Back to work and my morning walk to the office.

Greg suggested we try making fresh pasta. Sounded great to me. A quick pick up order of the KitchenAid pasta making attachment at BB&B and we were on our way to making fettuccine. It was great with a simple Cacio e Pepe sauce.

Also, I’ve been falling in love with french-pop music. Haven’t a clue what they are singing, but I’m really enjoying it. Listening to Tout Oublier by Angèle (feat. Roméo Elvis).

One of the greatest perks of our downtown dwelling is the evening view of the sun setting over west Akron.

Do you match an afternoon thirst quencher with your sunnies? It was a gorgeous day and I spent my lunch break at the N. High Street Parklet with a refreshing iced tea from Akron Coffee Roasters.
